Just as the name implies, these
are some of Mary Koval's particularly favorite
"blues, etc.," in some of her most-loved
designs, spanning a half-century of rich textile
history. The wonderful deep blue and brown combinations
were used in the most stunning quilts of the mid-1800s
and Mary has reproduced some of the intricate patterns -
pin dots, paisleys, florals and geometrics - for this
collection. Many distinctive quilt styles began to
appear during this period as well, including popular
blue and white quilts, often featuring alternating
blocks, fringe and overstuffed pieces. These patterns
are perfect for creating authentic reproduction quilts.
